Community Sewing Sessions
These free, once-a-month sessions are an offshoot from our "Fundamentals of Sewing & Upcycling Workshops" held in May.

About the event
Casual sewing meetup with expert advice from Lawrence Creative Arts members Brigid Wills and Janine Basil.
Bring your machine, or if you prefer slow stitch, bring your needles. We are here to help you with current projects or come and develop something new. Free patterns for cushions, aprons, bags and fabric storage boxes.
Some materials provided from donated fabrics, trims and cottons etc. Please bring your own scissors. The ethos of these sessions is upcycle, transformation, using up that stash thats been lying around, no buy creations if you need the use of a sewing machine we have a spare or two.
Thank you to the Waitahuna Lawrence Presbyterian Church for using their venue. We ask for a koha of $5 if you are able.
Tea and coffee provided, a plate to share is most welcome if you are able, if not, dont worry! Just come!
No booking required but make contact if you would like to borrow a machine.
