Mark the calendar and book your accommodation, this year Heritage Day is on 3 November!
Heritage Day is a cluster of independent events that occur over the first weekend in November.
Enjoy the opening of Tuapeka Goldfields Museum's new exhibit Our Favourite Things from 7.30pm - 9pm on Friday evening. (Free, donations welcome) Saturday night head to the races at Simpson Park Spring Time Stakes, a virtual race night. Spaces are limited, so book in now to enjoy a night of competitive fun and fancy outfits! On Saturday and Sunday grab a bargain from one of the many Village Green stalls, including Clutha Cats.
The main Heritage Day attraction is at the Tuapeka Vintage Club on Sunday. The Vintage Club has gold panning, vintage machinery demonstrations, sheep shearing, and other engaging activities. (Gold coin donations)
