Make a lantern to light your way during the Lantern Parade.
Time & Location
26 Sept, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
Lawrence Library, 5 Peel Street, Lawrence 9532, New Zealand
About the event
Come to a reading of "Mooncakes" by Loretta Seto and hear the tale of the time-honoured Chinese Mid-Autumn Moon Festival. Afterwards, create a beautiful lantern of your own for the Lantern Parade on Saturday 30 September!
The Lawrence Lantern Festival and Activities celebrates the Chinese heritage of Lawrence. Though far from home and family, settlers at the Chinese Camp would have celebrated the Mid-Autumn Moon Festival.
All ages welcome.
