About the event
Unleash your creativity and discover what the Moon Festival is all about! We have a full day of activities to engage the whole family.
10.00 am Adult Calligraphy Workshop - Learn to write beautiful Chinese characters using traditional tools. Along with this new skill, you'll discover the meaning and history behind the characters.
11.00 am Family Friendly Calligraphy Workshop - Make your own banners to celebrate the Festival and discover fun facts about Chinese calligraphy. All ages are welcome at this hands-on workshop.
Noon Storytime - Gather for an interactive reading of Mooncakes, a beautifully illustrated book about family and Chinese culture.
12.30-3.00 pm Lantern Making - Drop into the Museum and we will help you create an awesome lantern to light up the night.
