The Otago Harbour Master has control of all that happens in the Dunedin Harbour and beyond to the major waterways through Otago. He ensures maritime safety along Otago's coast and harbours, overseeing commercial vessels like cargo ships, cruise liners, and fishing boats. Also maritime rescues and all safety. Very little is known of the duties of Harbour Masters, so Mr Rushbrook's talk will inform us of the necessary part he plays in keeping our coasts. This will be a very interesting and informative talk on an aspect of Otago we probably know little about. You are most welcome to come along to enlarge your knowledge.
